The Council meets at St. Clement's Church in the Cafe downstairs on the

Council 9339, St. Clement's Council was
chartered on April 20,1986. There were 35 charter members with Don Cliche serving as the
first Grand Knight. Other Past Grand knights over the years have included Paul Jastram,
Vince Mayer, Bruce Carpenter, Ted Zysk, Chuck Galleger, Jim Burke, Steve Duda, Ed Stives,
Sam DeFalco, George Mazariegos, Mark Drexler, Randy Shiney and Joe
Mackenzie. Our present Grand Knight is Wayne Blair. Several of our knights are
4th Degree members of the district council in our area.
From the beginning the
knights have taken it as our special goal to live out our Catholic faith daily, to defend
the church, to serve the clergy, and to serve as examples of patriotism and service in our
community. St. Clement's Council is not as large as some other older
councils; however, our members are very active and young at heart if, not in fact, young
in age. Our projects are always done in close cooperation with St. Clement's Parish. We
have sponsored barbeques, yard sales, fruitcake sales, and Tootsie Roll drives in past
years. We have also built at least two ramps for disabled parishioners. Knights serve on
virtually every committee and fulfill many lay ministries at the church. All monies
raised by the knights have gone to local or national charities or for the
support of St. Clement's Parish. We are the Catholic Church in Gordon County. The Knights
of Columbus, Council 9339 and their families are an integral part of that faith community.
We, the knights, try to live our faith
every day. |
