Funerals

Our Catholic lifestyle teaches us that death is not the end of life, but a change. At the funeral of a Christian, we celebrate the faith of a deceased person and Christ’s victory over death and suffering. Christian burial is a time for family and friends to comfort one another with the words of Christ and the liturgy of the Church.

When someone dies, you can begin preparations for the Funeral Home Service. After speaking with them, contact the parish to make arrangements. The Priest will help you make plans for the funeral and burial. Choosing the right readings and hymns can help the family remember and share the faith with deceased members. There are several funeral options available; that is, morning, afternoon or evening funerals with visits at the church or funeral home.

Early planning for a funeral is highly recommended.
